Green Architecture Day is an annually hosted event featuring talks by designers, practitioners and professionals, and run in partnership with Low Carbon Trust, RESET, and CPD Certified.

The theme for the 2012 event was Designing for communities – low impact living in the UK and abroad.  Multiple speakers addressed low impact and ecovillage development including Duncan Baker-Brown (BBM Sustainable Design), Jackson Moulding (Ashley Vale project, Bristol), Joe Atkinson (LILAC, Leeds), Dr. Jenny Pickerill, and Jude Dunn (Lammas, West Wales).

Greg discussed behavior change and sustainability in existing buildings, BioRegional’s experience with its new ecoConcierge program, and One Planet Communities in North America.   Forum attendees received Greg’s talk by videoconference: the low-carbon approach to giving sustainability lectures!

Greg manages BioRegional’s ecoConcierge and Design for Sustainable Behaviours programs, and as a facilitator he has led the creation of ambitious 10-year sustainability action plans for One Planet Communities – infill projects, master-planned communities, campuses and ecodistricts in Canada and the USA.
